My First Week of The Semester

 I've made it ~!

a fresh new beginning

Hello, Farah's here! My first week on campus was quite daunting, to say the least. While generally excited that all of us are finally adjusting back to having physical classes as the norm, I was nervous about fitting in. Being a transfer student, I thought it would be worthwhile to share how the week turned out to be.

Since MAW was essentially nil for me, I won't count it as the first week. MAW is an event that I was obliged to skip because I was already considered an existing student. Different from my peers, my first week started on the 1st week of classes.

On Monday, I had to smoothen out my student status (from a postponed FFAR student to a registered FEP student) with the university's academic department, just so I could carry out my course registration. Despite my belief on everything is smooth sailing, a certain course list didn't come up for selection, so I had to also inquire the department about changing my student year status (from 3rd year to a 1st year) on Tuesday - finally completing the course registration on the said day.

On Wednesday, I had to sort out my living quarters' problems. Since my status as a student was originally postponed, I wasn't able to put out an application for the public colleges in UKM. So, I had to go for an appeal application in KIZ instead. I was lucky enough to get a room with how many people there were for application as well - so unnerving. The room was average at best, with constant electricity issues. But, hey, at least I have a place to stay, right?

When I thought I would be able to join in on my remaining classes for the week, both classes on Thursday and Friday were cancelled for unavoidable circumstances. Hence, ended my week without being able to meet any new faces nor getting a grip on how the classes' environment would be.

Fast-forward a couple of weeks later, I'm glad that I am now familiar with some of my classmates. Thus, am looking forward to the rest of the semester. Hopefully, this energy remains until the end of my education. I'm eager to see learn what I can accomplish with the rest of my life.

That's all, 'til next time <3.
